About Jaquita WattersI was raised in eastern Colorado. Moving to the western slope of Colorado in 1989 were I'm still a resident of a small community. Being in the Restaurant / Food industry most of my life and working as cashier for different businesses. My family had always told me I have an eye for photography. I was encouraged to put some of my photos in our local fair. I began to get awards and ribbons for my entries.

I was inspired by a Wildlife Photographer in 2009 I purchased my first camera, not knowing what I was doing. She shared with me many different facets of photography and equipment, and what works for her. She showed me the difference in her equipment and mine although my equipment was doing ok for what I was doing. But, that wasn't the case at all. I wanted to be better, so I continue to work saving my money. The first equipment she told me to buy was a Pro Grade Tri-pod, enough to hold 25 pounds. After doing some researching, I purchased my tripod setting it aside in the closet. Then she told me to get the ball-head, again saving my money. The day finally came to purchased the ball-head to only attaching this to my Pro-Tri-Pod. I was getting so excited setting it aside in the closet.

I had began to practice with my smaller camera waiting for the day I can purchase a pro-camera. She had decided to buy another camera, putting her Pro-Camera up for sale. I was still working, I had enough money saved up to put a down payment with an agreement to pay her each month until it was paid in full. I set this aside for more equipment. Still using my other camera to take photos with. I still didn't have any lenses to go with the pro-camera. At my employment there was another person that was a photographer whom was taking product and website designer whom was I also becoming friends with was also giving me information.

I WAS TOLD I WILL NOT BE GOOD ENOUGH PHOTOGRAPHER TO PLACE MY PHOTOS IN GALLERIES.

In September of 2013 I was able to reach my goal to purchased the rest of my pro-camera equipment, lenses. At the age of 58 years old. I decided to retire from the working world. I have decided to turn my attention to what I LOVE TO DO. The more I learn the more I find my self needing to learn.

I have at this present time have Gallery Wrap prints available for purchase at,' SILVER LINNINGS GALLERY, LOCATED IN OURAY, COLORADO. I was inspired by other photographers I knew. As my PASSION was becoming intense with the desire was indeed taking another turn into Landscape / Wildlife Photography. Being a Photographer wasn't even in my life plans for myself let alone a Landscape / Wildlife Photographer.

HERE IS WHERE MY JOUNEY BEGINS FOR MY SUCCESS TO FOLLOW MY DREAMS, MY PASSION, SO IT SHALL BE. I don't know where I will be going, but I'm going to love the JOURNEY!!
